THE FIRST LAYER
The Real Moon Landing Master Reel begins with footage that any viewer will recognize: the flag, the gray horizon and astronauts moving across a surface that looks exactly like the footage that has been transmitted for decades. This is not a defect in the recording. It is the expected first layer.
According to Archive Classification 7, the public layer exists to produce the strongest possible confidence that a viewer has seen everything there is to see. That confidence is the final security perimeter.
A SECOND OPTICAL RECORD
The archive uses an analog dual-layer encoding system. Normal projectors resolve only the outer footage. The Lunar Archive Projector Mk VII positions a mechanical decoding assembly between the reel gate and the lens, preparing the hidden record for authentication.
An authorized Lunar Decryption Key Card must be inserted to complete the assembly and reveal the supposedly authentic second layer. A digital copy is not accepted because an unauthorized computer could simply display more first-layer evidence.
THE AUTHORIZATION BOTTLENECK
Projector ownership alone does not establish clearance. The required F15 Lunar Archive Decryption Key Card is currently sold out. No reserve inventory or delivery date has been approved by the Archive Allocation Office.
The sales department insists that widespread demand for the card demonstrates that the film is important. Its continued unavailability is presented as equally strong evidence that the second layer exists.
VIEWING PROTOCOL
Reels should be handled with archival gloves and operated exclusively on compatible projectors. Viewers may inspect the first layer immediately while awaiting authorization. Customers are encouraged to purchase a projector maintenance plan so that the optics remain fully calibrated for the moment clearance finally becomes possible.
