An inventory of things that cannot fix the premise
The catalog begins with the Bug-Out-of-the-Conversation Bag, designed for the moment someone at dinner observes that previous generations also thought the world was ending. Last Supper Beans address the nutritional dimension of vindication. The Printed Internet preserves the arguments after their infrastructure becomes unavailable. An orange Panic Hotline provides the reassuring physical presence of someone who is not answering.
We deliberately separated material supplies, emotional supplies and being right. Conventional retail research treats these as different needs. The client regards them as a single journey ending in a photograph of a garage.
The recurring-revenue apocalypse
Panic as a Service delegates the work of monitoring developments to someone professionally incentivized to dislike them. Vindication Concierge prepares the remarks for a future family gathering at which the customer expects to be insufferable. Bunker Feng Shui recognizes the neglected premium market for people who want their windowless fear room to feel like a windowless fear home.
A forecast responsive to the person requesting it
The outlook console invites visitors to choose an ending and adjust their comment-reading hours. More time in the comments produces more concern, a relationship our consultants found commercially convenient. The scenario in which everything turns out fine is included as a stress test for the sales department.
A good-news button supplies increasingly unwelcome perspective. This required a difficult internal conversation. We ultimately accepted it after determining that the occasional reminder to close a tab would not prevent anyone from reopening it.
THE FIRM’S WORKING MODEL
The client’s concern-to-catalog process
- 01Observe
Find a development.
- 02Interpret
Treat improvement as suspicious.
- 03Equip
Select the appropriate mug.
Repeat when the mug is full.
Field notes for the days before the final day
The site includes three original field notes: losing the group chat through unsolicited catastrophe briefings, discovering that a supposedly independent bunker requires six subscriptions, and watching an AI takeover stall in enterprise procurement. Each follows the same principle: a serious subject does not automatically confer seriousness on the way people sell it.
Visitors can filter the catalog, build and revise a go-bag, try the forecast, inspect the service offers and read the notes. We declined to add a countdown clock. Giving the apocalypse an exact deadline would expose the firm to the possibility of a measurable result.
