At the beginning of most product engagements, someone asks whether the customer needs the product. At Terry's Terrible Trailers, we identified that person as the primary obstacle to growth.
Terry's builds trailers for problems so specific that an ordinary manufacturer would suggest making a different decision. Our assignment was to turn that hesitation into a market position. If the standard catalog stops before your problem begins, Terry has already welded an axle to it.
The sandwich was our proof of concept.
Consider the Footlong Haul, a dedicated transport system for one continuous 36-foot sub. A poorly managed discovery session might have asked why the sandwich could not be cut. We established early that cutting it would destroy the entire business model, along with the phrase 'continuous sandwich integrity' in the proposal.
The solution preserves the full 432 inches. It also preserves the original capital decision. Once you have commissioned a specialized trailer, admitting the deli's biggest sub is six feet long would invite difficult questions about the other thirty feet. Extending lunch was simply the most responsible way to protect the investment.
Build a portfolio of defensible explanations.
The same discipline runs through the collection. The High Ground puts a lawn chair at the top of a towering mobile staircase, addressing arguments where being right has proved insufficient. HOA Away transports an entire front lawn, because some property disputes are best resolved through mobility.
Each of the eight models receives a specification dialog. Visitors can inspect the premise, consider the application, and assemble a quote. The sales journey allows the customer to arrive at an unreasonable conclusion through a series of completely reasonable clicks. We regard this as a significant improvement over merely shouting 'custom fabrication' into the internet.
The deliverable includes somewhere for the doubt to go.
Product photography carries much of the argument. Seeing the sandwich under its canopy or the lawn behind a towing vehicle makes it difficult to claim the concept lacks detail. Whether detail should have been spent on this is a separate meeting, which we would be pleased to facilitate.
The completed site is open. The catalog is specific. The quote builder is ready. All that remains is for someone to ask a question the trailer industry has spent decades wisely ignoring.
